Through the intermediary of our subtle bodies, we are in contact with the entire universe and participate in every event that takes place there. You will say: ‘But why don’t we know anything about this?’ Because our brain is not yet sufficiently developed and experienced to transmit the impressions it receives to our consciousness. And the state of our brain depends on the state of our physical organism. We must therefore attend to our physical body and make it a better instrument of perception by nourishing it with pure food and drink, fresh air, sunlight and even the most harmonious movements, forms, colours and sounds. Our spirit has no need for all this, for, like God, it is all-present, all-knowing and all-powerful. It is our matter that we must take charge of and transform: both our physical matter and our psychic matter, so that through it the spirit can more easily manifest in all its splendour.
