What is the difference between our unspoken words and those …

What is the difference between our unspoken words and those we speak? In a very broad sense, we can say that our unspoken words are a synthesis of all the expressions of our inner life, a synthesis, that is, of all the emanations produced by our thoughts and feelings. In this sense, we have to admit that people’s unspoken words are often contradicted by what they say. For example, someone may detest his neighbour and be plotting his downfall, but in order to lull his suspicions he constantly assures him of his friendship… and the poor wretch is taken in. Also, instead of using words to faithfully reflect reality, people often seek to serve their own interest by using them to foment reactions in others such as suspicion, hatred and rebellion. Of course, you can object that most of the time the words we speak fulfil their magical function, which is to transform reality. True, but the magical power of words must only be used for good.
