Everything that exists outside us also exists within us. All that exists on earth and within the earth; all that exists in the rivers, lakes, seas and oceans; all that exists in the sky, the stars and the nebulae also exists within us. This explains why, from the very beginning, human beings have always felt driven to study and understand the world around them – in so doing they are attempting to study and understand themselves.
