When heaven offers a great mission to an initiate who is …

When heaven offers a great mission to an initiate who is reincarnating on earth, it doesn’t hide all the ordeals he will have to go through, for by triumphing over these ordeals he will succeed in fulfilling his mission. Of course, he’s not overjoyed to see what will happen to him, but it’s the end that counts, nothing else, and so he accepts. But the Lords of Destiny take away the memory as soon as he incarnates: he no longer knows anything about his mission or the ordeals he must go through. He’s like an ordinary man, and he suffers, until he understands that heaven has used him to realize its great plans and that if his life had been easy he would have done nothing, would barely have caused a ripple, like many others. Of course, not everyone can explain their ordeals by saying they’ve been entrusted with a great mission by heaven, but they should know that, depending on the way they overcome their difficulties, heaven will judge whether or not they can be counted on in the future.
