If you embrace spiritual life sincerely you do not have to worry that your work is recognized by others and you especially do not have to try to fulfil a role. Only your work should be important to you, important not in the human world but in the world of light. Many disciples who do not put their work first want to be respected immediately for the work they do. They want to be useful so that they are appreciated and glorified. There is a personal interest involved, in other words. Of course, it is difficult completely to overcome this desire to be appreciated. Although, it is the moment where glory no longer interests them and they are completely immersed in this marvellous work without thinking of anything else that a disciple begins to be appreciated, by Heaven, and they are allowed to take part in the councils up above. The disciple who reaches this point has nothing greater to wish for.
