When a light wave is sent into space, a second, symmetrical one is born. In other words, where the curve of one wave is convex, the other is concave. This demonstrates that fullness and emptiness do not exist in themselves but are related and complementary. Fullness and emptiness are the two principles (masculine and feminine) which always work together in the universe. In the human beings these two principles are represented by the spirit and the soul, the intellect and the heart. This phenomenon is symbolized in initiatic Science by the serpent, whose movement is sinusoidal.
