On the physical plane it is true to say that if you give something then you no longer have it yourself. For instance when you give the greengrocer money in exchange for a kilo of cherries you actually have less money in your purse. On the psychic (emotional, mental and spiritual) plane, however, all the good and luminous things you give actually make you richer. And when you experience a feeling of gratitude, even if you are not being given anything, you are receiving. You are surprised? Well, there is nothing surprising about this. When you feel gratitude your heart and your soul open up, and by opening up in this way you receive everything that is beautiful and good in nature and in life. Even if these gifts were not really meant for you, it is you who receives them, whereas those who are ungrateful receive nothing, even if they were meant to. Be grateful and you will have the feeling that all of heaven opens up to you. Several times a day, even if you have no reason to say thank you, say: ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord.'
