Every new idea brings disruption, this is a well known …

Every new idea brings disruption, this is a well known fact. You discover an idea you find worth taking seriously, and you decide to take it up. But then you find this idea disrupts your old habits, creating complications not only for your mind and heart but also for your physical body. And many people are so amazed when they experience the inner turmoil a new idea provokes, they give the idea up, even if it’s a good one. They say, ‘Things were much better before, more peaceful, and now, what a hullabaloo!’ Those who do not accept new ideas for fear of finding them disturbing will never progress. But, more importantly, they are not aware that later they will meet far greater difficulties. Periodically, heaven decides to send new currents, new influences, to the earth, in order to transform humanity; those who resist them will later encounter conditions that are less favourable. So, reflect on this, and tell yourself, ‘Heaven is sending us better conditions for our evolution. So, even if we’re a bit shaken up, even if our habits are being disrupted, it’s worth accepting them.’ And set to work.
