Generally speaking, we can say that the consciousness of a human being is a reflection of his or her preoccupations. If people continually feed their lower nature, which is crude, primitive and animal, their consciousness, or awareness, will become narrow and dark, and only gargoyles will be reflected on to it. Whereas if they strive to give expression to their higher nature, then the thoughts, emotions, and sensations projected on to their consciousness will be of divine quintessence. To broaden and enlighten their consciousness, people must provide their higher nature – which is all knowing, all powerful, and all loving – with the best conditions for it to manifest, as consciousness is only a consequence of all the psychic (emotional, mental and spiritual) activities of human beings. It is like a screen on to which the images from our inner world are projected. Therefore, we must act on the film, in other words, on our own lives, so that our lives may become divine projections on the screen of our consciousness.
