We generally think of numbers as abstractions, but in fact they are living beings, cosmic powers, the active principles which presided at the creation of the universe and now maintain its equilibrium. These living entities are endowed with intelligence and the greatest virtues, which is why they are situated very high in the hierarchy of spiritual beings and work close to God. Numbers belong to the world of ideas. On the physical plane they are represented by numerals. Numerals are therefore the symbolic representations of the entities or forces which constitute the structure of the universe. Our entire life, including all our thoughts, feelings and actions, is nothing more than a set of operations worked out with the help of the numbers one to ten.
