Love makes us audacious: it inspires men and women to believe they can do everything for those they love, that they can heal them and save them. Unfortunately, it takes more than love to save someone. There are those who are possessed by an instinct for self-destruction, and if you want to rescue them from alcohol, drugs, or suicide, your love is not enough. You must be knowledgeable and skilled, or it is they who will prove to be the strongest, and not only will you fail to save them, but they will destroy you morally, psychically, and sometimes even physically. How many times, out of love, have women sacrificed themselves in order to save a man from drink or from gambling, and in the end have been ruined themselves. Thus, it is not so easy to save someone. You must be very strong in order to hold your own and to persist until victory is certain. If you find yourself in this situation, do not overestimate your capacities; analyse yourself, take stock of your strengths and say: 'I would like to save this person, but I do not have what it takes.' Then address the luminous entities of the invisible world and entreat them to help this unfortunate creature whom you love. But you must protect yourself; do not make useless sacrifices for others which will destroy you as well.
