We hear people speak of responsibility in every area of activity – political, social, scientific, economic, religious and moral. But how many of them are able to consider this question with the breadth of vision of an Initiate? More often than not, they feel their responsibility as a terrible burden and a source of endless problems and difficulties. So, instead of being strengthened and enlightened by it, they feel weighed down and crushed. Genuine Initiates, on the other hand, who are always seeking how best to act and manifest themselves in order to lead their followers on the path of divine light, find that their responsibilities give them infinite opportunities to advance their evolution. This does not mean that they do not feel the weight of it, but they say to themselves, ‘Thanks to this load, I will develop vigilance and I will expand my consciousness’, and in this way they progress, grow and become richer.
