People are always afraid of what they do not know or of …

People are always afraid of what they do not know or of things they do not know how to use: just as the animals that fear fire or the primitives who used to tremble before the forces of nature, being ignorant of what they were. Now that people have managed to control the most fearsome forces - electricity and nuclear energy - they are not afraid anymore: they placidly press a button, turn on a gas tap, etc. Since they know how to work with the most complex installations, they are not afraid of them.
Do you really believe that civilized man who does not fear the elements or forces of nature is free from fear? No, he is still afraid - of his wife, his boss, sickness, lack of money and, above all, public opinion. He may not be afraid of God or the devil, but public opinion makes him tremble, and he is ready to sacrifice everything for it. Yes, there are many types of fears that civilized man has not yet overcome, and if he does not manage to overcome them it is because he lacks true knowledge. Only true knowledge allows us to win the battle against fear.
