You have all experienced some moments of joy and happiness. …

You have all experienced some moments of joy and happiness. Try to find these moments again. Even if there have been only three or four in your life, or only one, revisit them often. Recall the place, the circumstances, the people, concentrate, and once again find the same thoughts, the same feelings, the same sensations. Little by little, you will feel you are experiencing these states again, just as intensely as if they were really happening to you here and now. Your outer experiences are never as vitally important as the ones you feel inside. So relive all the times when you felt and understood the beauty and meaning of life. Let all these moments be there at your disposal for when you need them one day. That’s another method you can work with. And make sure you have a choice of memories, because just as one piece of music is more appropriate than another depending on the circumstances, so one particular memory will help you and contribute more to you than another.
