There are always new things to learn, new efforts to be …

There are always new things to learn, new efforts to be made; it’s the only way to stay young and alive. Today, in spite of the immense advances medicine has made, illnesses that were unknown in the past are appearing in prosperous, industrialized countries. Why? And why do so many people suffer from depression, anxiety and nervous disorders? Because, for most humans, even if they work, their ideal is to live a life of comfort, ease and pleasure. But nowhere in nature is there a blueprint in place for an easy life. Comfort, ease and the pursuit of pleasure introduce the germs of illness into humans and annihilate life itself: cells become lazy and no longer eliminate impurities; they allow themselves to become toxic, and the organism loses its capacity for resistance. Be wary of ease, comfort and pleasure; banish this ideal from your mind, for in reality it is the bearer of death.
