Love without expecting to be loved back - you will be free
Love without expecting to be loved – you will be free and you will be able to do a great deal with this freedom. Unfortunately, human beings do not value freedom, they do not seek it; on the contrary, they want to chain themselves down. It is as if they do not know what to do with freedom, it weighs on them or bores them. Whereas constraints and even blows at least keep them occupied: yes, suffering and crying… Only the Initiates have resolved the problem. They say, ‘But who is preventing me from continuing to love, to love all creatures day and night, to love like the sun?’ They are not interested in knowing on whom this love may come to rest – on anyone and everyone. What does interest them is for this divine energy to flow through them so that they may feel expansive, filled with wonder and inspired: that is the only thing that matters.*
