The pathways of life are like an enormous labyrinth, and we are in constant danger of losing our way. If we are to travel these paths with the hope of eventually finding our way out, we must be aware of certain rules given to us by the great masters, and we must apply them. Those who seek the easiest roads, the roads most suited to their egotistical desires and whims, transgress divine laws and cannot help but get lost. Why? Because the moment they allow themselves to transgress laws, everything in nature conspires to mislead them: it is as if they had placed a magnet inside themselves which caused them to choose the wrong direction every time. Whereas, those who act in harmony with divine laws are always carried along in the right direction, and all of nature is there to light their way and sustain them.
