Some successes are very easy to attain and that is all very good. Be aware, however, that these easy successes can be short-lived and that in any case they will not satisfy the needs of your soul and your spirit. You devote five, six, ten years to becoming a musician, a lawyer, an engineer, a chemist or a doctor and you are proud of your achievement, but what ideal does that represent? And what is ten or twenty years? There are nobler goals to pursue in life than qualifications that bring you everyone's respect and material security. Why not focus your attention on a spiritual quality? You may need centuries to develop it, but it will always open up before you a path of light. When it comes to divine goodness, patience, purity, justice, beauty and so on, you will need more than ten or twenty years to obtain a qualification vouching for the fact that you have succeeded. But it is exactly on this, on what is difficult, almost unachievable even, that you must focus your efforts, because this is what will allow you to move forward and make progress.
