Invisible entities accompany human beings throughout their life. Wherever humans have to go, luminous, helpful entities prepare the way for them, whereas dark, harmful entities oppose everything useful and constructive they wish to undertake and chase them up blind alleys. When a king travels, he is preceded by servants, who prepare for his coming: when he arrives, everything is ready, because he is the king. But when it’s a beggar, who takes the trouble to make his travel arrangements? It’s the same with the inner life: those who are kings or princes automatically find the way ahead free and a great many people there to greet them, whereas beggars – symbolically, people lacking in virtues – won’t be welcome anywhere. The secret of the true life, therefore, is to seek to become king of oneself, a king who controls his own thoughts, feelings and actions. Those who are truly master of their kingdom are always preceded by beings that prepare the best conditions for them.
