Everyone is spontaneously attracted by certain people, because they find them nice, pleasant, amusing, original or seductive, or sometimes they don’t even know why, and it has nothing to do with any moral value the person may possess. This is natural, but as friendship and love imply trust, why not try to get better acquainted with the people you wish to make friends with? In general, everyone possesses different qualities and virtues, which they manifest to a greater or lesser extent, depending on circumstances. But there are other qualities they are sure to manifest whatever the circumstances. Try to discover what these are so you know what you can count on. As for their faults, these don’t stop you feeling affection for them, but you must also be aware of them, so as not to expose yourself to disappointments and misunderstandings.
