If you learn to use music in your spiritual work you will succeed in fulfilling your greatest desires. Music creates an atmosphere. Music is like the wind swelling the sails of a boat and pushing it towards a new world. Music can therefore be a very powerful aid to realization, to achievement. So, when you listen to music, instead of letting your mind drift this way and that, try to focus your thought on what you most ardently want to achieve. You are due to have a meeting with someone or you have some work to complete, well, you can consciously prepare yourself for this meeting or this work by listening to music. You think you lack the wisdom and the judgement to do this? Well, concentrate on the light, imagine you are being penetrated by light, your head and the whole of your body invaded by light. If you seek beauty, strength, will or stability then do this same work with your mind. Music provides all the right conditions for working with the mind.
