Work of spirit on matter - each obstacle provides us with the opportunity for it
Human beings come to earth to work on matter – their own physical matter, but also, and particularly, their psychic matter. Those who aspire to living the spiritual life must never lose sight of this idea. Whenever they meet some obstacle or ordeal, instead of complaining and losing heart they should try to mobilize all the faculties they have received from the Creator, so that they can take another step forward each time on the path of light. Living the spiritual life engages our every moment. We must never be satisfied with what we are, but put our mind, heart and will to work to rid ourselves of any remaining inner darkness and disharmony and attract the purest particles. In this way our being gradually acquires a different vibration, our etheric structure changes, new possibilities are given us and we are visited by the subtlest joys.
