‘Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven

‘Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.’ How should we understand these words spoken by Jesus? Whether consciously or unconsciously, everything we do here below on the physical plane has repercussions on high on the subtle planes, because everything is connected. If you restrict someone on the physical plane, he feels just as restricted on the astral and mental planes, and the same applies if you liberate him. When a mother has to leave her child alone for a moment in his little pram, she straps him in so he cannot fall out. The child is restrained on the physical plane but he is also restrained on the astral plane; he does not feel free, and he cries. When his mother comes back, she frees the child not only on the physical plane but on the astral plane as well, and he is elated. If you put someone in solitary confinement and deprive him of food, he will also feel limited on the astral and mental planes, and he will suffer. In fact, there are all sorts of ways to bind people or liberate them from their constraints: with a gesture, a word, a look…
