Magic - love is the father of magic, as shown by the example of lovers

When you love someone, you project your thoughts and desires onto your beloved and try to enter their heart and mind. In this way you influence them, and depending on the quality and strength of your love, you can either wreak havoc within your loved one, or you can bring the kingdom of God to live in their soul. This is why it is said that love is the father of magic. If people find this a scandalous claim, they need only analyze themselves. Let them observe the way they behave when they are in love and they will see that, unconsciously, they work magic. They are constantly focused on the person they love, hoping to win their attention and affection; they choose conditions and situations favourable for seduction or even ensnarement. Is this not magic? So how can we fail to recognize that it was love that first taught human beings how to work magic?*
