It is said that in the beginning God created light. But this light was not the physical light we know, which only appeared on the fourth day with the creation of the sun and the stars. The light God called forth in the beginning is cosmic light, the spiritual light from which He created the world. If we meditate on this light, we can reach the very essence of God. When you do the breathing exercises, when you pray, meditate, sing, or when you watch the sunrise, you are essentially absorbing this quintessence, which is spread throughout the universe in prodigious quantities. If you have not gathered much of it, it is because you have not yet sufficiently developed within you the instruments capable of capturing it.
