If you really want to help others, you should get into the habit of leaving them from time to time to rise up towards God. It is not by staying with people all the time that we can help them, but by elevating ourselves in order to gather riches, which we can then distribute to those around us. How can a weak, ignorant person, without great virtue, help others if they do not possess the means? They will only create trouble and turmoil around them.
