If Jesus said, ‘Ask and it will be given you’ it is because this act of asking, of wishing, of insisting, therefore praying, has the power to produce certain changes, at least in our consciousness. We may not be able to change outer circumstances, but when faced with such circumstances we can change our inner attitude, our way of seeing and experiencing them so as not to be so afflicted and crushed by them. Our greatest powers are not found on the physical plane, but on the psychic plane. How many people who had real reasons to suffer, who were in utter despair, were able through prayer to find peace, light and freedom! May those who wish to transform their states of consciousness know that they can do so thanks to the ability God has given each creature to pray.
