Human beings could be compared to a claims department. …

Human beings could be compared to a claims department. Everything in them claims something: the stomach claims food... ears claim sounds... eyes, light and colors... and the mouth, the nose, they all claim something... the sexual organs as well. So the whole body demands something; that is great, wonderful and natural. But the important thing is that a higher authority must control these demands, and this authority is the head. It is up to the head to see if it can satisfy them, otherwise catastrophe will result. People will eat and drink too much or not enough; they will expose themselves to excessive heat or cold; they will not hear or see the dangers... It is good that the body be encouraged to ask for what it needs. This is how it keeps alive. But the head must also be present to orient, to see when to accept, when to refuse and how much to give. There are demands and claims everywhere, but in a human being, as in all spheres of life, a head must be present to distribute to everyone according to divine rules and in divine proportions.
