Helping others - by stressing their qualities rather than their faults

You have more chance of improving a situation if you focus on what is right rather than on what is wrong. So, rather than criticizing what is at fault in others, focus on their good points to see how they can be further improved. Should there be only one, stay with that one. Leave their shortcomings aside, and try to help them develop their qualities. We must always focus on someone’s good side and say, ‘God lives in their soul; I won’t concern myself with the animals prowling around it.’ Who doesn’t harbour a few wild beasts inside them? In some people, they are caged or chloroformed, but they are there.
