Giving - in order to receive

When people feel dissatisfied, unhappy, they tend to attribute their malaise to some lack, and they expect someone or something to come and fill it. But that is not the solution. The solution lies in deciding to contribute something themselves, to help others, to support and console them or even take part in their activities. A new life then begins to move through them, and they no longer need anything – they are fulfilled. They have understood that when they try to contribute something positive, they are already receiving. Whereas those who contribute nothing receive nothing, even if they are given something. Life is based on exchanges, on receiving and giving, giving and receiving. If there are no longer any exchanges, there is no life.
