Everybody listens to music, but very few know how to listen …

Everybody listens to music, but very few know how to listen to it in order to awaken their spiritual centres, so as to soar into space, to rise to greater heights, to ennoble and purify themselves, or even to solve certain problems. When we listen to a piece of music, we should first try to understand what it represents, whether it is a force for good or for ill, and what it can be compared to. Is it like the wind or like thunder? Is it like a waterfall tumbling down the mountainside? Is it like electricity or heat? Whatever the energy it emits, you must learn to use it. If it suggests the wind, imagine that you are on a ship in full sail. If it suggests electricity, use it to set your spiritual instruments in motion, and so forth. Music is a force. Each sound produces vibrations that trigger impulses in people, which they must learn to use.
