Enemies - love protects us from them

Occasionally you come across people who are hostile to you, and you look for ways of protecting yourself. The best defence is to find something in them that allows you to appreciate them at least a little. If you hate them, your aura will become torn in places, and through these tears you will create a connection with all their negativity. By doing so you allow in harmful elements, and once these are in you they begin to destroy you. Why do you think Jesus said, ‘Love your enemies’? Was it because he wanted us to be kind and charitable toward those who hurt us? Not at all. It was because he knew the great laws of life. He knew that hate makes us vulnerable. To defend ourselves we have to enter the impregnable fortress of divine love. Love is the greatest protection against enemies. Loving our enemies is one of the hardest things to achieve, but it is the only effective weapon against them.
