God created humankind in his image - the implications of this revelation

In the book of Genesis it is said that God created humankind in his image, and for centuries Jews and Christians have quoted this verse: ‘God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness”’. They quote it, yes, but have they really studied the meaning of this revelation and drawn all possible implications from it? No, and they continue to complain that their prayers are not answered. When it is said that God created us in his image, it means he placed within us a quintessence of himself, a quintessence of the same light, purity and power. Initiatic Science calls this divine quintessence in us the higher self. Each time we concentrate on our higher self, we connect to the Creator. Thanks to the efforts we make to connect with this centre or summit within us, we cause a light, a force, to spring up, revitalizing all the cells in our body. And, each time, this light and force are God’s answers to our prayers.
