Good deeds - never regret having done them

Suppose you have helped someone out, for example, you have given them money. Then, one day, you find that they did not deserve your help; so, you go and tell everyone what you did for them, and that they were not deserving of your kindness and so on. But why say all these things? If you go around complaining that you regret your kindness, you will simply destroy the good you have done. It had been recorded on high that you were due to be rewarded and now, by behaving as you have, you are erasing your good deed. You must learn to turn a blind eye and forgive people for their failings. In this way you yourself will grow and anything you may have lost as a result of your kindness will later be given back to you a hundredfold. No matter what people do to you, never try to seek revenge; wait for heaven to pronounce itself in your favour, for sooner or later it inevitably will.
