‘Beware of false prophets…’ - commentary

‘Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.’ To interpret Jesus’ words correctly, you must be truly discerning and very broad-minded. Otherwise, it is all too easy to say that all those who bring new insight to help humanity progress are false prophets! In reality, God has never stopped sending his sons to earth. So, the Church doesn’t want to recognize them? Well, so be it! That will not prevent God – who need not take account of the Church’s views – from still sending great beings, bearers of love and light. How sad to be so narrow-minded as to think that none of the great founders of religion, either before Jesus or since, has been able to bring true light to human beings, and that no one ever will again! God is love, and because he is love he has always sent his children prophets, initiates and great Masters who made the sacrifice of renouncing the joys of Paradise to come down and help them. He will send still more, and, as Jesus said, it is by their fruits that you will know them.
