Atheists think they are highly objective and logical: they …

Atheists think they are highly objective and logical: they at least judge by what they see, hear, touch, measure, and so on, whereas religious believers are so blinded by faith that their judgments are false. How wrong they are! However intelligent people may be, if they do not believe in the existence of God, in the reality of the soul, or in the immortality of the spirit, they will always be missing an element that is essential if they are to perfect their observations and judgments. The lack of this element means that their perspective will always be superficial; they can see no further than the form, the surface of life. An atheist is like someone who looks at other human beings and sees only their anatomy. If identifying and describing their limbs and organs is all that matters, a knowledge of anatomy will suffice. But if you only consider a person’s anatomy, it means that you are interested in a body without life, not in life itself. Human beings need a belief in the divine world if they are to discover the true dimension of people and things, and sense the currents flowing between them.
