Words of truth - will always catch up with us

All the words of truth you have read or heard will one day resurface in your awareness. Even if you paid no attention to them, because at the time you thought you had more important concerns or because what was said wasn’t pleasant, these words will leave an impression on you, for they possess a force: the force of light. Without your knowing it, they etch themselves in your subconscious, where they continue to work, and sooner or later, when you least expect it, when you meet someone or something happens, the words will suddenly come to mind, and you will be unable to escape them. You will say, ‘But will these truths never leave us in peace, then?’ That depends what you mean by peace. If what you call ‘peace’ is being able to give free rein indiscriminately to your thoughts, feelings and wishes, do not be surprised if a few truths you heard from a sage, an initiate, come to warn you that you are losing your way. And they will even sting a bit, bite you and tug at your hair: in that sense, it’s true, they will not leave you in peace. But if you accept them and go in the right direction, you will experience only peace and joy.
